About The Project:
City Hall is a six floor refurbishment project in the centre of Leicester for Leicester City Council. The original building was stripped back to a shell and then remodelled to create a new office block for Leicester City Council’s new offices. The sensitive refurbishment has allowed many of the original art deco features to be restored and re-installed to maintain the character of the building.
As well as creating new office accommodation for Leicestershire City Council consideration also had to be given to the retail units on the ground floor of the building. Considerations had to be made to minimise disruption and impact to these businesses for the duration of the project.
DBS carried out a full mechanical and electrical installation to a high specification and finish installing a new heating system, power system, data network, ventilation, BMS, Fire and Security System, domestic hot and cold water, Kitchen fit out, high specification TVAV system and sanitaryware installation.
